DIT 
DIT (or Digital Imaging Technician) is a crucial role to every production that is often overlooked, and not fully understood. One of the most important duties of a DIT is to manage and backup of all camera data coming out of the cameras. Extreme care and knowledge of data transfers and workflow is extremely important because the DIT not only ensures no footage goes missing, but also sets up the organization for post-production.
A good DIT that has a specially designed workstation is also capable of saving production a lot of time and money by doing all the transcodes on set for both dailies that can be viewed at the end of day by producers, director and DP, and the editorial files that post-production will begin offline editing with.
