Red Sky Pictures recently provided DIT services for Eyewax TV’s production for Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival. With three Epic cameras, and six DSLRs, Red Sky had to provide an efficient workflow to manage terabytes worth of media throughout the day, as well as a way for pre-color-corrected files to be handed off for same-day editing. The workflow allowed a final product to be turned around just a few days after the wrap of the three-day, 36-hour music festival.
EDC is one of the largest electronic music festivals in the country, and showcases many of the world’s best DJ’s along-side awesome art displays and fun carnival rides. The experience really is like stepping into another world, but still fun nonetheless. Red Sky is excited to build even faster workflows for data management for these productions in the future.
After months of working closely with the editorial team on season two of the hit dark-comedy show starring Elijah Wood, “Wilfred” finally airs its season premiere on Hulu Plus! The show will also be airing Thursday June 28, at 10PM on FX if you want to wait for its official TV launch.
This episode of College Humor and DumbDumb’s “Always Open” – that Red Sky was DIT on – features sidekick/announcer/writer Andy Richter from “Late Night Show With Conan O’Brien.” Koechner and Richter take part in little role-play games such as facial expressions, under-table-talk, and hypothetical travels. Enjoy this week’s episode, and as said by the hilarious Richter himself, “You’re hurting me!”
Red Sky Pictures recently finished working with REP Interactive who produced Coldwell Banker’s “Previews International” commercial. Red Sky was hired as on-set DIT to provide production with digital dailies, assist with camera settings, create looks for the Director of Photography, and manage and backup all the footage. The production was filmed with the Red MX camera and as each card filled up throughout the day, Red Sky created multiple backups, color corrected each shot, converted them to files for the editors to begin working on later that night as well as iPad dailies.
