After months of working closely with the editorial team on season two of the hit dark-comedy show starring Elijah Wood, “Wilfred” finally airs its season premiere on Hulu Plus! The show will also be airing Thursday June 28, at 10PM on FX if you want to wait for its official TV launch.
Red Sky Pictures recently wrapped the final color correction for The Butcher Brothers’ (Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores) film “The Thompsons,” the sequel to their 2006 horror film, “The Hamiltons.” “The Thompsons” continues the story of the orphaned family, as a bloodbath in a local gas station stirs trouble. The family is on the run, searching for others “like them.”
Red Sky Pictures was brought on to the film to do the finishing steps of color correction. Shot on the Red One, Red Sky had to conform the film back to the original R3D media in order to gain full advantage of the camera’s RAW images. Once conformed, the project was brought into Davinci Resolve where the look was really brought to life. With the directors sitting in, each scene was not only balanced shot to shot, but was given a specific stylized look and feel.

Red Sky Pictures recently finished working with REP Interactive who produced Coldwell Banker’s “Previews International” commercial. Red Sky was hired as on-set DIT to provide production with digital dailies, assist with camera settings, create looks for the Director of Photography, and manage and backup all the footage. The production was filmed with the Red MX camera and as each card filled up throughout the day, Red Sky created multiple backups, color corrected each shot, converted them to files for the editors to begin working on later that night as well as iPad dailies.
Red Sky Pictures was recently DIT on College Humor’s “Always Open” skit with Dave Koechner. The series is made by DumbDumb for College Humor and Denny’s and features several guest stars including Jessica Biel in the video above. Red Sky provided on-set backup and data management for seven cameras shooting simultaneously throughout the day. Check it out the first new episode on College Humor. Enjoy!
